Fire Extinguisher Safety #05: Community Fire Units (CFU)

Bush fires are a common place  in New South Wales (NSW)  which occurs  in different sizes and areas every year. Communities that are located in bush lands are always threatened with bush fires since the Australian landscape is a natural bush fire prone area. People living near the bush areas must be prepared at all times for bush fires.

By being an active member of the Community Fire Unit (CFU) , you can help prevent the loss of lives. A Community Fire unit (CFU) consists of local citizens living near the bush lands trained by Fire & Rescue NSW (FRNSW) to improve their chances of survival againstt bush fires. A Volunteer (CFU) member does not fight fire but  will be trained for preparation, prevention and protection of life and property against bush fire season.
